Hi I'm Tim! I grew up in Germany and have lived many lives which have all added to my love and adventure for the outdoors. In my freetime I love to climb, bike, and take my van to explore around the West. I am drawn to emergency medicine through my experiences before and during medical school, especially recently going to Chamonix, France with Holly and Sarah to obtain my Associates in Advanced Wilderness Medicine through an incredible course with Dr. Ingebretson. As the OMS-I representative last year, I hope to take my experience to enhance the training for everyone to love the ACOEP/WMSIG club as much as I have!

Hi! I’m Holly Ingram and I was born and raised in Tennessee. I have always been my happiest when I'm in the outdoors whether I'm hiking,  climbing, or ocassionaly falling ... I found that the world of Wilderness/Expedition/Emergency medicine has been able to combine everything I love and more. All of the trainings and events from the ACOEP/WMSIG club last year made me even more passionate for pursuing this field of medicine. I hope from this club you learn tactful skills you can use in your next adventure and be prepared to tackle those unfortunate circumstances with ease.

Now, go explore!

Hello everyone,
I’m truly honored to serve as your Vice President for ACOEP this year. Originally from the West Virginia/Virginia area, I spent much of my time outdoors with my family—hiking, camping, or playing sports. I’ve called Ivins my home for the past two years since starting the MSBS program. I have loved every minute of living in the West. I’ve even tried my hand at snowboarding (still abysmal), but I’m always up for a weekend out of the house. I’m looking forward to getting to know each of you throughout the year, so please don’t hesitate to reach out if there’s anything I can help with!

Hi, I’m Joshua Tronier, I am from Fargo, North Dakota, and I studied Cell Biology and Neuroscience at Montana State University. Growing up in North Dakota and Montana, has made me enjoy adventuring in the wilderness. I enjoy doing many things outside and I am excited to plan many trainings in the wilderness this year for this club. In the winter, you will find me snowboarding and hiking in the backcountry with proper avalanche equipment. I also enjoy hiking and swimming in the summer.

Hi! I’m Sarah and I grew up in Western Massachusetts, often heading to the white mountains in New Hampshire to spend time at my grandfather’s cabin. I’ve spent a lot of time hiking, skiing, snowmobiling, and riding ATVs, and developed a love for nature early on. Since moving to Utah, I’ve really loved climbing outdoors as well. The highlight of my summer was going to Chamonix with the U of U SOM to learn wilderness med & get my AWLS cert. I’m excited for another great year of activities & trainings :)

I had the distinct pleasure of growing up in Moab, Utah, where I went through certification with Grand County EMS to become a Basic EMT. This led me to fall in love with emergency medicine, particularly within a rural or backcountry setting. As Moab is considered an outdoor recreation mecca, many calls require off-road ambulances, hiking out to patients, high angle rescues, and a myriad of other skills you just don't get everywhere. My passion for wilderness medicine blossomed as I experienced first-hand the difference preparedness and creative thinking can make in patient outcomes. I hope to one day be able to go back and practice in the community that helped me realize my passion and set me on the path toward becoming a physician.

SEE YOU SOON!
