What We Do
Simply put, the Medical Research Club (MRC) provides students with opportunities to learn about and participate in research. Our goal is to aid students in building meaningful and resume-worthy experiences and publications in topics they're interested in. We aim to help in collaboration, resources, and events. Networking, introspective curiosity about valuable questions, and mentoring are among the many tools we utilize in the MRC to help students succeed in this venture.
The MRC has holds meetings regarding available faculty research on campus, group socials, and student research presentations.
Activity Details Below!

2. Show other students what research is happening,
3. Provide practice and feedback for presentations.

Work with RVU Research Director Dr. Amanda Brooks to funnel students to a one-stop research center with list of current types of research and faculty willing to mentor students.

Hold club meetings providing lunch and social interaction, with chance for research collaboration and brainstorming for research ideas.

Invite guest speakers to discuss cutting edge research relevant to medical students.

New for 2024-2025
