As the local chapter of the national Student Association of the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians (SA-ACOFP), our purpose is to establish and promote a general understanding of the scope of services rendered by the family physician through the provision of a wide variety of activities including: skills workshops, ranging from suture labs to IUD insertion workshops; lecture series on topics such as business in medicine, patient advocacy, and full-scope family medicine; and volunteer events designed to improve the health and well-being of the local community.
